“HTTP error 413 request entity too large” appears when the BlackBerry Browser is used to browse to a web page on BlackBerry Internet Service provisioned smartphone.
Many people have mailed me on how to solve this problem on their BlackBerry phones.
When attempting to browse to a web page using the BlackBerry® Browser, the BlackBerry smartphone user receives the following error message:
THE PROBLEM
HTTP error 413 request entity too large
This indicates that the web page is too large to be accessed.
Environment
BlackBerry® Internet Service
BlackBerry® smartphones
OS5 and earlier versions
CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM
Devices running BlackBerry Device Software prior to BlackBerry 6 receive this message due to the size limitation of approximately 5 MB or above being the maximum size limit for the browser.
The device must be running BlackBerry 6 or BlackBerry 7 operating system for the browser to function properly.
RESOLVING THE ISSUE
Upgrade to BlackBerry 6 operating system, or higher, to eliminate the size limitation error(s).
That’s the only solution available for now.
I hope you find this helpful.

Bros…na you get mouth pass. If that’s the only solution then I have to upgrade my OS.
I have always tried not to upgrade my OS but with this, it’s high time I upgraded it. I just don’t like people tampering with my gadgets. Thank you
@Makinde Olusola: Which BlackBerry model are you using before you try to upgrade to OS6. Make sure it is one you can upgrade to OS6.
I was just searching for this information for some time. After six hours of continuous Googleing, finally I got it in your web site. I wonder what’s the Google’s issue that does not rank this type of informative web sites closer to the top. Normally the top web sites are full of garbage.
Is it possible to upgrade my BB Curve2 with OS5 to OS6. Pls I need your assistance on this.
No, don’t try it. BB Curve II came with OS4 and you can only upgrade to OS5 to the best of my knowledge.
