Okay, this is how to configure your internet profile settings for MTN, Airtel, Glo and Etisalat manually. I got a request on this topic on one of my posts which dealt with How To Unlock Your ZTE Modem. The person that made the request just unlocked his modem and needs to know how to configure profile for other networks.
This settings is not only applicable to internet modems and that’s why I didn’t include it in the title. You can also use this settings to configure internet profiles on your mobile phones.
If you have noticed, etisalat will connect to the internet with the settings of any other network but I have included the settings etisalat recommends to satisfy all righteousness.
HOW TO CONFIGURE ETISALAT INTERNET PROFILE MANUALLY:
PROFILE NAME: ETISALAT NIGERIA
USERNAME: leave blank
PASSWORD: leave blank
APN: etisalat
HOW TO CONFIGURE GLO INTERNET PROFILE MANUALLY:
PROFILE NAME: GLO
USERNAME: flat
PASSWORD: fat
APN: gloflat
HOW TO CONFIGURE MTN INTERNET PROFILE MANUALLY:
PROFILE NAME: MTN NIGERIA
USERNAME: web
PASSWORD: web
APN: web.gprs.mtnnigeria.net
HOW TO CONFIGURE AIRTEL INTERNET PROFILE MANUALLY:
PROFILE NAME: AIRTEL
USERNAME: internet
PASSWORD: internet
APN: internet.ng.zain.com
Now you should be able to configure internet browsing profile for any network in Nigeria. You should bookmark this page for future reference. You might want to configure for someone else.
