Many internet users don’t know how to get the best result out of Google. There are several ways to get whatever you want out of Google search. I’m not here to talk about using the “inurl” method to get results but to show you some simple codes that will give you result right after Google search box.
This is way better than visiting some other sites from Google search result and then looking for your answers.
HERE ARE SEVERAL WAYS BY WHICH YOU CAN MANIPULATE AND USE GOOGLE TO GET GREAT RESULTS
USE GOOGLE AS DICTIONARY
Google search can be used as your fast access dictionary. In the image above. I simply searched “what is phoenix”. You will get a result instantly instead of having to visit one of the sites Google would show on the normal search result.

FIND A PARTICULAR FILE TYPE ON GOOGLE
Internet has various types of files uploaded all over, like .pdf, .doc, .docx, .ppt, .pptx and so on. It is possible to search for only a particular type of files on Google Search.

filetype:ppt
word+filetype:pdf
e.g. Photoshop+filetype:pdf would return pdf files about photoshop like in the image above.
USE GOOGLE SEARCH TO CHECK TIME OF ANY CITY IN THE WORLD

This feature is a real time display of the current time anywhere in the world.
MAP OF ANY PLACE IN THE WORLD ON GOOGLE
With just two words, you can find the map of any city or country in the world by typing map, : and the name of the city or country.

You can solve some relatively simple arithmetic using the Google search box. Some of the common and advanced maths operators recognized by Google are:

You can convert currency of one country or region to another. It has the advantage of using the current exchange rate in it’s calculations. All you need to do is know the short code for each currency.
